Basic hostel, awesome location

Friendly staff, chill area with free coffee and tea, free basic breakfast

Slow Wifi but that's a common thing in Coron, the price seemed a bit high to me but it was okay

Great place!

Great place! The staff is super nice, there's free breakfast freshly made when you order it, and coffee and tea all day in the break room. The bed is comfy, has curtains and each one has a place for plugging in your electronics. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean

Amazing common room, great for socialising with super cheap drinking options. Right in the centre of Coron town. Friendly staff.

Toilet door cannot lock. Toilet seats extremely broken. 6 bed dorm is tiny.

i really like the place!

The staffs are very accommodating and friendly, the beds are super comfortable and the place is quite nice.

I think the bathrooms should be taken care well, tho it is clean but quite too much stuff inside like cleaning stuffs and brooms.

Location, that's all!

Baths not clean. No hot water. Bad WiFi. It never worked. We were in the 8 bedroom people. First day we were 5 and next day 2 friends more join us in the same room. They were waiting for their beds in the common room. When I went to the room (bc I had my bed already from the day before) I found the cleaning women, on one of the "waited" beds,(by the way, already done) chatting by phone and eating... Disaster. I'll never come again.

It's relatively cheap and that it's at the heart of...

It's relatively cheap and that it's at the heart of the town and everything is accessible from there like shops, travel and tours, resto, motor rental, etc. The staff are very helpful I must say.

I stayed in the small room with 1 bunk bed and in that area you cannot avoid to hear the noise from outside when vehicles pass by. That's a given since the location is just beside the road. So, if you cannot tolerate that, I guess it's better to book for the bigger rooms upstairs. Also, I wish there was a small led light near the bed.

What was the highlight of Island Hostel

Comfortable stay, good vibes only

The staff are super friendly and very nice and helpful with anything to do in Coron. The property is fairly central, close enough to some restaurants and dive shops and other attractions. The dorm rooms have curtains on them, and have AC. The free breakfast is good, and the chill area is great. All in all a really good stay.

Research Coron before you go. The hostel was great, but there is absolutely nothing to do or see in Coron town. All the tours leave at 9am every day (ONLY), and if you don't do one of the many amazing tours, you will have wasted an entire day, because there is nothing to do or see in the town, and there are even very few restaurants. If you don't come for tours or diving, which are both phenomenal, then I recommend getting a bike and driving around the island for the day. Otherwise, go to El Nido instead.

Good location in Middle of town.

Good location in Middle of town. Personal where nice and helpfull. Standard where pretty Good to be Philipines i guess

The staff were so friendly and helpful.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I booked a tour through them as well as staying in the four person dorm and they were great at organising everything. The free breakfast was good (pancakes!) and the location couldn’t be better for restaurants/bars and getting to the port.

The 4-bed dorm is really small. There’s not a lot of room to move around if there are two of you in there, let alone four!

To many bunks in rooms, all crammed in, mosquitos in rooms and no nets, common room faces afternoon sun and to hot, so nobody could chat or meet.
